This last weekend I shot still life and then during the process of turn in day I changed my mind and put a black and white filter on all of my still life photos. Which I think turned out pretty good on all of my photos. In photo shop on this photo I first of all change my filter to black and white and then messed around with the blacks and whites to make this photo not too much of either color. And then did a little bit with the clarity but not to much to make the photo look out of place. I have always liked the look of black and white and I think the black and white filter on these still life photos looked good and this overall was a fun shoot

In this weeks assignment we had to go around the school to shoot self portraits. In two techniques window light portraits and 3 point lighting setups. Where they both show how lighting can really make or break a photos look and it taught me how much importance there is behind proper lighting.
This weekend I thought it would be fun to shoot Halloween decorations since my house goes all out almost every Halloween. I took this particular photo outside of my house on a pillar where this skeleton hung from my porch. In the photo though I got rid of the background colors to focus on the skeleton and I thought it looked cooler. And then edited the contrast and vibrance of the photo to pull some of the grit out of the skeleton and I think it turned out nice. I just got a new puppy this weekend so I thought it would be nice to get some photos of her outside in my backyard even though it was cloudy. This assignment was a lot harder than I thought because I constantly was having to try to get her attention and she kept moving so things were complicated. But overall it was fun shooting animals and I would love to do so again. I edited this photo in photoshop and I didn't really change anything with the photo besides the light exposure and darkness because of the cloudiness factor so I added a haze effect. In this photo assignment our class worked on editing a photo of a car to learn more about photo editing and advancing our skills to apply to our photo shoots ahead. Which I think really helped me out a lot in knowing what certain tools do on the side tool bar, so now I know some things to make my photo assignments over the weekend look a lot better.
So for this weekends shooting assignment I decided to shoot macro this Saturday, since it was such a nice sunny morning. And I knew it would look good with flowers and leaves so I took some good photos on this nice weekend. And I learned after shooting this over and over again its hard to get yourself to stay still and focus in on the photo itself. In the pop art assignment we were told to go into photoshop and try a new system. And try to do this pop art assignment, in the process I did mess up a ton. But in the end I learned so much more than I used to with the photoshop app than I ever have. Such as using the rulers and coloring photos.
This weekend on Saturday night I stun tacked and taped two black t shirts onto my stun tack board to get the black background effect for all of my photos. Even though it was hard and got irritating at times I thought all of the photos I took turned out great. I learned a lot about shutter speed and apertures and ISO and how they really play a factor in how great a photo can turn out. I didn't really edit the photo that much I slightly added more brightness and contrast but besides that I didn't change a thing to it. |
