In this in class photo assignment we as a class had to take two other different styles of panographic's. One where we hand stitch them together which is a long hard process and the other being a photo merged planographic with more of a vertical shaped style. The hardest part on this assignment for me was having to retake some photos because they never aligned correctly or because I kept moving in the photo. I should've stayed in place instead of walking around taking them causing a problem at the beginning. And the other hard part was having to hand stitch the photos together because of the time it took and some photos still not aligning.

In this weeks photo assignment I decided between the three topics I still have left and went with panoramic which wasn't the hardest of the three. But during the panoramic you take photos of a big area you can't capture in just one photo so you have to take multiple panning photos of the area. And then align them about %30 between each other so they don't end up looking bad. Panoramic's aren't the hardest if you just don't move while shooting them so you don't cause a blur effect. Photo Non-Edited Photo Edited During this assignment though I came into a problem with my camera dying half way through which was annoying and when the camera had enough battery life to take photos it was raining out. Which resulted in my camera lens either constantly fogging up or rain blobs on the lens that had to be constantly whipped off. In addition to that I had problems with the ISO because of the cloudiness and it took me awhile to find the feature on the camera, but overall this wasn't the best assignment for me personally.
In this weeks photo assignment/photoshop assignment as a class we shot multiple me's all throughout the school and at home. I've done this before in digital one but I really had fun shooting them with all the crazy things you could do in the photos and photoshop. The three options were motion, multiple me, and one off campus. As much fun as I had shooting these photos I had trouble on my first try with co-operating with my brother on shots. With him not wanting to do the photos at times to trying to take them himself it was a disaster. But the second time with my dad went a lot easier and I enjoyed shooting multiple me's again.
In this weekends photo assignment I came to the conclusion to shoot still life, I've shoot still life once and didn't turn out that well in my first trimester of this class so I wanted to redo this assignment and get a better turn out. Still life is where its a object isolated by itself with a sort a background that isn't that distracting where the object is the main subject, and of course is staying still. What I really liked about this photo assignment was that my photos turned out a lot better from last time. But I also still had the same problem as last time with the focusing of the object and trying to make it not turn out blurry. But I do like shooting these types of photos and the plus was how nice of a day it was.
During this photo assignment the class was shooting HDR. This was a first time for me shooting HDR photos, HDR photos is where you shoot three photos one exposed normally, one overexposed, and one underexposed. And then you photo merge the three photos together to give the end result photo a cool effect that you can edit to your own idea of what you want the photo to look like. Which provide cool photo results. Normal Exposed Photo HDR Final Photo The one problem I had with this assignment was me forgetting to sign out a tripod to go home with so when I shot the photos they would be aligned correctly. Instead of me thinking there aligned when they aren't causing ghost all over the place on some photos making me have to retake them. But besides that I thought this was cool how the photos turned out and how colors can show up a lot better making the photo have a different feel.
With this weeks photo assignment our class had the option to shoot what we wanted. So I chose macro because I did well on it first so I thought I could do well on it again. And with the addition of the nice weather I wanted to take photos somewhere outside. Because everything is blooming in spring now so it would look nice. Before After In this photo assignment I liked but didn't like at the same because I like taking the photos and being outside. But at the same time with my camera it had a hard time focusing on photos where it would blur the image out and keep the outside clear. Even after turning off auto focus I still had the problem for some photos. So it was fifty fifty on good or bad photos.
This in class photo assignment was shooting panoramic's. Which is where you take photos from an area and overlap lap them as you pan across the landscape or area you are shooting so the photo gets a wide view that you can't get with just one normal photo. Making the photo add a lot more interesting aspects. I have always enjoyed this photo assignment in particular because I find it very fun to do. Such as going out and taking the photos to then make them into a panoramic is cool. But I do sometimes have problems with panoramic's like everyone else with photos not aligning correctly or you don't notice a moving object in the photo in the background. But overall it was a cool assignment to do and hope to take more again.
During this Photo shop assignment we took recent photos we took from either our weekend photoshop assignment or are principles of design. And did four different framing methods to put around our photos. With the four being Gallery Frame, Gaussian blur, Sprayed strokes, and the last one being clipping mask frame. This was a fun but challenging assignment.Spray Assignment Gallery Frame Clipping mask Blur During this photo shop I didn't really like it at first because of the fact that I really didn't know anything since its been such a long time. I really struggled with the blur and spray backgrounds because I couldn't remember certain things. But once I got going and got refreshed it came back and it became pretty easy to complete and get done. It was fun to finally get back in the understanding of photoshop.
On this assignment our class went around the school or home to take photo examples of principle of design. The 9 examples are balance, contrast, emphasis, movement, repetition, simplicity, space, and unity which all have there differences to making a photo look good in its own way. Which all these photos wrap around the photo elements such as color, depth and texture to make up these photos. Balance They equity of weight and attraction Contrast Differences between elements in the photo Emphasis Stress placed on a single area in the photo that are highlighted Movement Suggestion of action Repetition Repeating the element over and over Simplicity Eliminate non essentials Space Measurable distance between objects Proportion A big difference in size shape or amount Unity Relationship between parts and whole composition The assignment was a lot of fun to do because of the fact I got to go outside again and shoot photos even though it was cold. But within all these photos you can see a lot of difference in them with the size the parts of elements applied to the photos and such.
In our first photo assignment as a class we were told to shoot color. In this assignment the goal was to bring out in all of our photos the color of the object we shot. The color could range from 1 specific color brought out to many colors like a rainbow. This was a fun photo assignment to shoot and I hope the rest are just as fun. This photo came to be difficult at times because of the rain factor outside with the camera smearing up or fogging causing images to turn out bad. Also there wasn't a lot of light with it raining so some specific images turned out very dark. But there was a lot advantages that came with the rain such as with this photo making it look a lot more interesting and eye catching with the water droplets. I edited this photo and put on a lot of contrast and saturation to bring out the color and water droplets which made the photo look much better. |
